Zone.college better visibility for sustainable green education
In 2018, educational institutions De Groene Welle and AOC Oost merged into Zone.college. With the merger, the educational institutions wanted to strengthen their cooperation and thus create more awareness for sustainable green education within Pre-vocational Secondary Education (VMBO) and Secondary Vocational Education (MBO). Zone.college has the ambition to further develop the range of training courses in the Eastern Netherlands and to improve the integration into the corporate world. To create the desired appearance at all school locations, Zone.college worked together with RGN brand identity services.
During the implementation of the new brand, Zone.college faced several challenges:

- Relieve internal organisation
- Combining two organisational cultures
From brand policy to practical applications
A new corporate identity comes with new guidelines and brand carriers. In the case of Zone.college, this meant we had to provide all school buildings of both the Groene Welle and AOC Oost with new facade signing to create a uniform look that matched the new identity and ambition.
Moreover, the signage needs to match the architecture of the buildings and fall within the requirements of the municipalities. We identified the on-site situation of every location, then translated the brand identity into a signage plan and provided the necessary permits. For the best result, we have simplified several names and expressions in cooperation with Zone.college. This reinforces consistency and makes the corporate identity easier to work with. To limit inconvenience for both students and employees, we have organised the installation of the signage outside school hours whenever possible.
